Dales Festival of Food & Drink 2013: High Blean B&B Bainbridge.

This years Dales Festival of Food & Drink is to be held over the bank holiday weekend on the 4th 5th and 6th May 2013 at Leyburn.

The festival is open from 10:00 to 17:00 each day and the entrance charge for an adult is £8 though, if one is planning to attend for more than one day, the 3 day ticket, at £12 offers great value.

As well as food there is a Real Ale & Cider festival, complete with ale competition, a wine bar and a drinks marquee.

A theatre marquee hosts a number of local chefs who will be providing cooking demonstrations.

The Richard Whiteley Pavilion is the venue for a variety of musical entertainment, with a “speakers corner”  event each day at 14:00.

One of the aims of the event is to provide a showcase to Yorkshire Dales farmers and farming practices, with a live stock marquee with talks and demonstrations.

As usual, there will be a good selection of stalls selling take away food.

One of the highlight of the festival, is Craske Traditional Amusements, providing old fashioned fair ground attractions from a bygone age. Andrew Craske, who operates these attractions with one of his son Jeremy, is local to High Blean B&B, living at Woodhall just outside Askrigg.
