The husband and wife team of Simon and Julie Freeman, behind the social media marketing company Freestak, used High Blean, Bainbridge as the venue for a strategy meeting, in-between a hectic schedule of client meetings in Yorkshire. The peace and quite at High Blean, Raydale provided the perfect environment to work on growth and development strategy.
The company, formed by Simon and Julie combine their professional talents with their passion for running to create a unique and authentic service to clients.
Simon brings over 15 years of marketing expertise, which is combined with Julie’s IT skills and talent for web design. This ensures Freestak is ideally placed to help clients exploit the benefits of the new paradigm of social media marketing, where a truly focused campaign can be delivered and tangible results demonstrated with empirical evidence. Social media marketing is an evolutionary step in customer relationship marketing and is likely to be widely adopted by companies who want to really engage with their customer. The peer to peer nature of this type of approach, also creates a high level of trust, as endorsements come from real customers. A well executed campaign can convert customers into advocates of the client’s company.
Freestak, which although a young company, already boasts an impressive list of clients, has attracted a lot of interest from many companies involved in the world of running. The most savvy companies are quickly coming to understand the many benefits of social media marketing and Freestak is there to help develop and deliver tailored campaigns using social media.
We hope to see Simon and Julie back at High Blean at some point and hope that one day they might look to organise some event in the area around Semer Water and further up in Raydale, which is an ideal venue for running and walking, and for the really brave, a dip in the lake.
