Recently, we have been having a great many temperature inversions in the mornings over Semer Water, filling the valley bottom with soft white mist, which soon burns off.
On the 2nd November the mist soon cleared out of the valley and we had glorious sunshine all day, with blue skies and a warm breeze.
While this was the case up here at High Blean, down in Wensleydale was a different matter: fog all day.
In the late afternoon the mist started rolling back up the valley from Bainbridge to fill the valley once more in soft cotton wool clouds.
