Walking Weekend in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales

May 10th is the first of the accompanied walking weekends from High Blean B&B in Raydale.

This weekend kicks off with a walk to the Victoria at Worton for a couple of beers before returning to High Blean for supper. Given the light nights at this time, the round trip of just under 7 mile will be completed in day light. The route takes us along Brough Scar before dropping down into Worton, to enjoy the unique delights of the Victoria Inn.

Day two starts with a hearty breakfast before a walk to Hawes via Stalling Busk, Marsett and Burtersett. A pub lunch will be enjoyed in Hawes before a walk down Wenseleydale back to Bainbridge. From here, it is a 2 mile walk up the Raydale valley towards Semer Water back to High Blean. There will be around 12 miles of walking on this day, which can be shortened or lengthened, dependent on the wishes of the party.

Dinner will be enjoyed at High Blean with pre dinner drinks in the garden weather permitting.

Day Three, will start a bit later, it being a Sunday. Breakfast will be full English to set one up for the day. We will take a six mile walk around Semer Water via the hills about Countersett and Marsett, before walking onto Stalling Busk, and home to High Blean. This route can be shortened by a couple of miles if required.
